How it works
From a family's first search to a meeting in your calendar.
Sleepless Director is one system: families find you on Google Maps, their call is answered in your name, and their meeting is booked. When someone has died, a person takes over straight away.
1 · Found
A family searches, and finds you
How we look after your Google Maps profileMost families start with a search: “funeral home near me”, or your town's name. What Google Maps and AI assistants show them comes from your Google Business Profile and the listings around it.
We keep your profile complete and accurate (categories, hours, photos, services) and make sure your name, address and phone number match everywhere Google and AI assistants look.
2 · Answered
They call, and someone answers
Every call to your funeral home's existing number is answered by the assistant, in your funeral home's name: during the day, after hours, at weekends and while you're with another family.
It says it's the funeral home's virtual assistant. It never pretends to be a person, and it keeps a calm, unhurried pace. Questions about price always go to a person on your team.
3 · Booked
Their question becomes a meeting
For pre-need planning and arrangement conferences, the assistant offers times from your director's calendar, books the meeting and texts the family a confirmation.
It books into the calendar your team already uses, so the meeting sits alongside everything else.
4 · A person, when it matters
When someone has died, the call goes to your director
An at-need call is never handled by the assistant alone. It gathers only what's essential, then transfers the family live to your on-call director. If your director can't pick up, it books the family an appointment with them.
What your team sees
A dashboard of every call, with a recording and a written transcript, plus a daily email and regular reports on calls answered, meetings booked and at-need calls transferred. Every family you serve is asked for a review the same way, at the right time, with no filtering and no pressure.
The standards the assistant works to, including how it introduces itself and how at-need calls are handled, are set out on our trust page.

How does the funeral home AI assistant work?
It answers every call to your funeral home, in your funeral home's name. It introduces itself as a virtual assistant, handles routine questions, books pre-need and arrangement meetings into your calendar with a text confirmation, and transfers every at-need call live to your on-call director.
Does it answer every call, or only after hours?
Every call. Families keep calling your existing number and the assistant answers each one, day and night. At-need calls and questions about price are passed to a person on your team.
What happens when a family calls because someone has just died?
The assistant gathers only the essential details and transfers the family live to your on-call director. If the director can't pick up, it books the family an appointment with them. It never handles an at-need call on its own.
How do we see what happened on the calls?
You get one simple view of calls answered, meetings booked and at-need calls transferred.
