For funeral home groups
Every location answered in its own name.
Families think of the funeral home they know, not the group behind it. Sleepless Director answers each location's own number in that location's name, day and night, and routes at-need calls the way your group actually runs on-call: a director per location, a shared rota across nearby locations, or a central first-call team.
Book a walkthroughDoes each location keep its own identity?
Yes. A family calling your location in one town hears that funeral home's name, not the group's, even when calls are handled centrally. Each location keeps its own number, its own name and its own way of greeting families.
How are at-need calls routed across locations?
The assistant identifies which location the family called, answers as that location, recognizes an at-need call, then follows that location's routing rule for tonight. Groups run on-call in different ways, and it works with each:
- A director per location. Each location's at-need calls go to its own on-call director.
- A shared or regional rota. Several nearby locations share an on-call director. The family still hears the location they called.
- A central first-call team. Calls go to your central team, with the location already identified and the essential details gathered.
What if on-call changes night to night?
That's normal for groups, and the routing follows it. You tell us who covers which locations, such as four locations going to one director tonight, three to another, and one location with its own. If the director on call can't pick up, the family is booked an appointment with them.
What about Google Maps across the group?
Google allows one Business Profile per location, and each one competes in its own town. We look after every location's profile: the right category, complete details, real photos and consistent name, address and phone number. Fixing duplicate listings matters most after acquisitions and rebrands.
What else does each location get?
- Pre-need and arrangement meetings booked into the calendar you already use, with a text confirmation.
- Questions about price passed to a person, as the FTC's Funeral Rule requires funeral homes to give price information to people who ask by phone.
- Recordings, transcripts, a daily email and regular reports.
When it isn't the right fit
- Groups that want every location answered in the group's name rather than each funeral home's own.
- Groups looking for the assistant to handle at-need calls itself. It always hands them to a person.

Can each of our funeral homes be answered in its own name?
Yes. Each location keeps its own number, and calls are answered in that location's name, even though the group's calls are handled in one place.
Our locations share an on-call director. Does that work?
Yes. At-need calls follow each location's routing rule, whether that's its own director, a director shared across several locations on a rota, or a central first-call team.
Does each location need its own Google Business Profile?
Yes. Google allows one profile per location that families can visit, and each competes in its own area. We look after each one.
